Maui is a huge attraction for those vacationing over the summer months, during Spring Break, or really any time of the year given the warm, comfortable climate. In fact, each year there are more than two million vacationers who have to make the difficult choice of accommodations. While we naturally recommend our Maui condo rentals, we thought it would be a good idea to open up your eyes to all of the possibilities…so many choices, so little time!
When it comes to vacation rentals in Maui, you may be overwhelmed at all of the options. Between private rental homes, resorts, hotels, condominiums, and bed and breakfasts, how can you possibly choose? First of all, think of how many are in your party; if you have a large family, several children, or are bringing along a few friends, chances are you won’t want to choose a hotel. Why? It’s cramped, you’ll likely have to rent several rooms (which can get costly), and you’ll be eating out every meal or bringing something in considering there’s no kitchen in most hotel rooms.
What you really want are wonderfully appointed, comfortable accommodations that leave you wondering how soon you’ll be able to return when it comes time to leave. Our Maui condo rentals offer a feeling of luxury, and include all of the features that make your stay truly relaxing and comfortable. Don’t want to go out to dinner after a fun-packed day in the sun? No worries when you have a fully appointed kitchen at your fingertips!
While there are literally thousands of hotels and resorts in Maui for every budget or location need, the most elaborate (including our luxury condo rentals at Honua Kai’s Finest) are located in West Maui. In fact, we’re right on the Ka’anapali Beach! It just doesn’t get much better than this when you’re vacationing on our beautiful island.
When you begin to research vacation rentals online while planning your trip, you’ll come across terms such as “beachfront,” “ocean view,” “oceanside,” and “partial ocean view” more times than you can count. What does all this terminology actually mean? This is important when you desire to be near the beautiful waters of the ocean.
Basically, the term “oceanside” means your accommodations face the ocean, but it doesn’t mean it’s located on the beach, although it may be. If you want to ensure you’re on the beach, look for the term “beachfront.” If the description of the condo, resort, or other rental includes “ocean view” it usually means that the rental is in the vicinity of the ocean; for instance, you may be able to see it from your balcony across the street, or a block or two away. Partial ocean view means just that; you won’t have a panoramic view, but you may be able to view at least a section of the ocean.
Most people think a Maui condo rental is way out of their budget. The fact is, it’s no more expensive than paying for two or three hotel rooms if you’re bringing along a large family or friends – and the bonus is you can save money on eating, as you can cook your own meals when you want, instead of being forced to eat out every meal. Considering the comforts of home, we think you’ll see there really aren’t so many choices when it comes to your total enjoyment of vacationing in Maui.
