Maui Condo Rentals – Tips To Ensure You Aren’t Disappointed

maui condo rentals

No one wants to spend a substantial amount of money on a condo rental only to be disappointed once they finally arrive at their vacation destination! Unfortunately, some will become the victims of some type of scam such as a person or company making the vacation rental appear to be much nicer than it actually is. Our Maui condo rentals are spacious, well appointed and provide countless amenities, but we want to share some tips to ensure yours actually lives up to your expectations.

Look for genuine reviews. It’s easy these days to find reviews, but unfortunately some are fake. When you see dozens or even hundreds of reviews, it’s a good indication most of them are authentic. A vacation rental with only three or four “five star” reviews could be a little shady; after all, it isn’t hard to have your sister, aunt, dad and cousin write a great review. Really look closely at the reviews and how many there are.

Get the details confirmed. Considering most people book accommodations online today, it isn’t hard to confirm the details of your rental. An email can be printed out and is confirmation of the terms agreed to. If you do talk to someone on the phone, be sure to get his/her name, email address and any other pertinent information. You should confirm via email if you do book your rental over the phone. Regardless of how you book, be sure to get it in print.

Are there great photos you can browse? Those who are reputable will make photos of each rental available so you can see precisely what you’re getting. If there are listings without photos, be very suspicious!

When you’re spending your hard-earned money on vacation, you want the best possible accommodations to ensure your family and/or friend are relaxed, comfortable and have everything you need. Our Maui condo rentals are beyond ordinary – check them out for yourselves and read our stellar reviews!

Vacationing In Maui Is A Blast – But Bad Behavior Can Ruin It For Everyone

vacationing in maui

Of course vacation time is a time to relax and leave the stress of everyday life behind, and Maui is the place to do it. Our Maui condo rentals provide spacious, luxurious surroundings you’ll enjoy when you aren’t out exploring or getting in some beach time. While we want you to have the time of your life, there are some things you shouldn’t do. Bad behavior can ruin a good time for everyone, and we’re not pointing our fingers at tourists; locals shouldn’t behave badly either.

Most of this is just common sense.

As in every other state, you shouldn’t indulge in one too many adult beverages and get behind the wheel. This puts everyone in danger!

Don’t litter. Cigarette butts last almost forever and so does plastic. Whether it’s a paper cup, plastic water bottle, fast food bag or anything else, dispose of your trash the proper way or take it with you to dispose later if there’s nowhere to put it.

If you’re a hiking enthusiast, stick to safe trails with signs. Going off trail puts you in danger. You could get lost, or a flash flood could occur.

Scooters and motorbikes are a great way to explore, but don’t drive like a madman. Sure it’s fun to scoot around without having to wear a helmet, but have common sense. It’s probably a better idea to wear one and use your noggin when driving!

Don’t try to take a little piece of the beach home with you. People love to scoop up a handful of sand or collect all of the coral or shells they can find, but think what Maui’s beautiful beaches would look like if every person who vacationed on the island took their own little piece, too! Not good.

Rein your kids in. Of course kids get excited when vacationing in Maui, just as adults do. However, rowdy kids can get on other people’s nerves whether on the beach or in a shop or restaurant. Help everyone who lives on or is vacationing on the island relish the experience by keeping your children under control.

Avoid trespassing, a big problem on the island. Not only could trespassing leave you in a dangerous situation due to flash floods or rock slides, locals don’t appreciate anyone – tourists or locals – trespassing on their property. With so much to see and do there’s no reason to venture into areas you shouldn’t!

These are a few examples of behavior that isn’t appreciated when you vacation in Maui. You can have a wonderful time simply by using good sense and following the rules. If you’re ready to take some well-deserved time off and indulge yourself in relaxation and fun, be sure to book one of our beautiful Maui condo rentals located right on Ka’anapali Beach!

Maui Condo Rentals – Enjoy The Beaches Of Maui With These Tips

The beautiful beaches are one of the reasons so many people choose to vacation in Maui. Our Maui condo rentals are located right on the beach, so that’s one way to start your vacation off on the right foot! Other than that, we have a little information to help you stay safe, abide by the laws and enjoy the beach scene even more.

Be sure to look for signs that say “public beach access,” as there are no private beaches on the island. If you see a spanse of water and no sign, it’s other people’s private property you have to cross to get there – that means it’s not accessible to you! Abide by the rules.

If you smoke, don’t do it on the beach! It could cost you $500, and all beaches/beach parks are smoke-free areas today. We want to keep our beaches pristine so everyone can enjoy!

Be cautious of the ocean. Conditions can change in an instant, and if locals are staying away from the water or warning signs are posted, you should stay away from the water as well. The ocean conditions in West and South Maui tend to be calmer, but always be careful. You’ll also want to keep your eyes toward the ocean, as you could get knocked down (and even worse) should you be struck by an unexpected and powerful wave.

All of this said, you may want to consider one of the many beaches on Maui that have lifeguards on duty from about 8 a.m. to 4:30 in the evenings. If you’re staying in West Maui this includes the Hanaka’o’o or “Canoe” Beach in Kaanapali and the D.T. Fleming Beach in Kapalua.

When you go into the ocean to snorkel, swim or partake in any water activity, always have someone with you so you can look out for each other. Safety in numbers!

Take these things with you, but leave nothing. Our beaches are for everyone to enjoy, so no leaving behind trash, cups, food wrappers, cans, bottles, etc. What should you take along? A good sunscreen, hat and sunglasses, beach chairs or mats, beach shoes, towels, water to drink and a trash bag so you can take any trash that accumulates with you.

We want you to enjoy the gorgeous surf and sand of our many beaches, but we also want you to be safe. Have a great time creating memories, and be sure to secure one of our beautiful Maui condo rentals well ahead of time so you won’t be disappointed.
