Let’s be honest; what’s one of the best things about going on vacation? The food! If you’re a ‘foodie,’ you’ll find Maui is a foodie paradise. Maybe you’ve already reserved one of our Maui condo rentals and now you want to know about some of the best places to eat. Not to worry, you’ll find so many choices your biggest decision will be which restaurants you want to try!

The Paia Fishmarket offers two newer locations, one in Lahaina and one in Kihei. Given 4.7 star ratings by Google reviews, this seafood restaurant offers up some of the best burgers, salads, pasta dishes, and of course, seafood you could ever put in your mouth. How about fresh-caught snapper, Mahi Mahi, ahi, opah, ono tacos, or blackened sashimi?

Nutcharee’s Authentic Thai Food is located in Kihei and is a BYOB restaurant offering up the menu items you would expect to find in a Thai restaurant including Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and curries, along with other options for the foodies who like to try out new, more adventurous foods. Some of these include Whole Fresh Fish Branzino, Deep Fried Soft-shell Crab and Fresh Ahi Laab. It’s usually packed, so be sure to get there early!

Sangrita Grill and Cantina is another restaurant in Lahaina for those who love authentic Mexican food. This local hotspot was named by Hawaii Magazine in 2015 as “Best New Restaurant,” and serves up such mouth-watering fare as grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, or vegetarian fajitas; chicken alambre; chimichangas; enchiladas; tacos; even craft burgers. Let’s not forget the “bad ass tortas” and “kick ass carnitas”!

The Dirty Monkey is one of the newest restaurants/sports bars on Maui; a good option for adults looking for evening entertainment. Fork and Salad is another Kihei restaurant you may want to check out if you’re one of the many who like the “farm to table” idea and are game to eat whatever’s on the menu, depending on local ingredients that are fresh and available. Salads, wraps, sandwiches, and fresh-made kombucha are their specialties.

This is just a small sampling of what you’ll find on Maui; you’ll be amazed at all of the great dining options, whether you’re in the mood for a casual dining experience or something more formal.

Of course Maui is a prime vacation destination because of the beautiful weather, beaches, outdoor activities and culture, but it’s also about the food! If you haven’t already, be sure to book one of our luxurious Maui condo rentals so you’ll have a spacious, comfortable, and relaxed place to rejuvenate after a fun-filled day.
