If you’re planning on coming to Maui for the first time, we invite you to check out our spectacular Maui condo rentals located right on Ka’anapali Beach! No matter what area of the island you’re headed to, we have a few tips to help make planning easier.
First, choose the best time of year in terms of your budget, work schedule, etc. Generally speaking you’ll get better prices during the off-season which is March through May and September through November. These are slower times, so you might enjoy your trip more if you would prefer to avoid lots of tourists. Another perk of vacationing during the off-season is discounted hotel rooms, condos and other accommodations, and cheaper tickets for events and entertainment.
Regardless of whether you choose West, South, East or Upcountry Maui, you’ll save money by flying into Kahului and driving to your destination rather than flying into Kapalua, located on the west side. Flying into Kapalua costs a small fortune and besides – wouldn’t you love to drive along the coast and experience the beauty up-close and personal?
West Maui is where you’ll find Kapalua, Lahaina, Napili and Ka’anapali, a favorite of those who enjoy everything from golfing to a quiet village atmosphere (Napili) or beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants on the water you find in Lahaina Town. Great shopping, huge resorts, the beach life and water activities, lots of people, amazing food – you’ll find whatever you’re looking for in West Maui.
Research all there is to do. Whether you enjoy sight-seeing, adventure or just staying at your resort to relax, you’ll want to do a little research so you’ll know which direction to head when you get here! Those who want to kick back and enjoy the shows, luaus, massage, great restaurants and golfing or snorkeling may want to choose a beach front accommodation.
Looking forward to sight-seeing? You won’t want to miss whale watching, sailing, hiking or experiencing the Road to Hana!
Lots of people come to Maui for the adventure. If you’re someone who’s all about excitement or challenging yourself to do something you’ve never done before, you’ll want to put SCUBA diving, parasailing, ziplining or volcano biking and helicopter tours on your list of to-do’s.
For some people vacationing is as much about the food as anything else! If your one who wants to try out all the restaurants, there are some great ones in Maui. On the flip side of the coin, you may want to save on dining so you can enjoy other activities. If that’s the case, our condo rentals include well-equipped kitchens to you can prepare your own meals every now and then.
Last but not least, what to bring along? You’ll definitely want to include a couple of swimsuits, a backpack, camera and sun block, a hat and sunglasses to protect from the sun, bug spray, and at least some cash as not every vendor on the island accepts credit cards. Shorts, sandals, t-shirts, flip-flops and maybe a pair of short hiking boots if you intend to hike, and you’re all set!
Maui is a blast for people of all ages, whether all you want to do is relax and be pampered or get out and challenge yourself to every adventure there is. Great food, great people, great golf and beaches, spectacular surroundings – are you excited yet? If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our condo rentals in Maui!
